The slip-on flange is characterized by a “low hub” as the pipe is inserted into the flange before welding. Welding is carried out internally and externally to ensure ample strength and prevent leakage. The slip-on flanges are machined with a slightly larger bore than the outer diameter of the corresponding pipe.
