3-Valve Manifold Remote Mount

What is 3-Valve Manifold Remote Mount?

A 3-valve manifold comprises two block valves and one equalizing valve. Differential pressure transmitters commonly utilize 3-way manifold valves as part of their configuration. The block valves are distinguished by blue handles, while the equalization valve typically features a green handle. In normal operation, the block valves are in the open position, and the equalizing valve is closed.

The block valves in a 3-way manifold valve serve to isolate the instrument. The equalizing valve is situated between the high and low process connections of the pressure instrument, ensuring equal pressures on both sides.

The 3-valve manifold is rarely employed in the oil and gas industry because it lacks a test connection. However, certain 3-valve manifolds come equipped with a blocked test connection.

Featuring PTFE packing, these manifolds can endure pressures of up to 6000 PSI at 200°F or 4000 PSI at 500°F. Grafoil Packing is employed for higher temperature applications.
